Yes, these pictures are a year overdue…but this is where I convince myself that it’s really fun to wait a year and to look back! This was Eli’s kindergarten class and graduation! There is something so special about kindergarten…something about all of the potential and creativity and innocence…and so much pure fun and happiness! On top of that Lily and Eli had the privilege of having one of the most incredible kindergarten teachers. To say we loved Mrs. Sedgewick is an understatement. Eli was in the last class she taught before she retired (I tried to convince her that we needed her to hold out until Liam was through with kindergarten but she had a grandson to love on)!
Eli had a fabulous kindergarten year making wonderful friends, learning to read, and using his imagination is creative ways somehow very unique to that first real year of school! These were the pictures I took of his class during the last few days of the school year…I am so thankful for every one of the unique and precious ones…
And then there was graduation…and I’m not sure there is anything sweeter than watching a group of little ones dressed up in cap and gown! I’ll be honest…between my Eli graduating from kindergarten and Mrs. Sedgewick retiring I pretty much cried through the entire thing…it’s lucky I got any pictures at all!
The cuteness here (with his bottom teeth missing) is almost more than I can handle.
Lord willing I’ll have a picture just like this when they graduate from high school!
Marching into the graduation ceremony!
The farm themed performance they did as part of the ceremony!
I’m not sure if they were praying or singing or both!
Receiving his diploma and gift from Mrs. Sedgewick!
